Clevedon, Sand Bay and Weston-super-Mare missing link
Not a prehistoric apeman but a right-of-way crossing point of the River Yeo at Kingston Seymour cutting out several miles of busy A-road. North Somerset Council are currently negotiating with private landlords. To show your support write to:

Dear Ruth Sanders,
Clevedon and Sand Bay/Weston-super-Mare Missing Link
Our area is well served with good cycling routes and various sections of the Sustrans National Cycle Network and cycling usage in our area is very popular. However, a significant "Missing Link" is the lack of a crossing point of the River Yeo between Clevedon and Sand Bay/Weston-super-Mare. The present alternative is a detour of seven extra miles including long sections of the notorious A370 which no doubt deters many or forces some potential cyclists to use cars.
I am writing to express my support for whatever steps the Council can do to complete this link. The benefits are obvious. Daytrips from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare and beyond become do-able, very pleasant cycling for families and everyone plus a siginificant boost to the local economy (shops, pubs & cafes etc.)
I look forward to your reply
Yours sincerely,
